In the comprehensive brief that we received for the UFC5 key art, it was clear that our task would be to develop a distinctive look for the game, focusing on intricate details, dramatic lighting and key fighter moments to convey the desired attitude. Expressions, body physique, posture and grooming were all explored to get the best possible results.

Iconic goes beyond authentic. The UFC Deluxe version is more than just a frozen pose; it’s about capturing the fighter in a defining moment that captivates the viewers. To achieve this, we stepped back from delving too deep into the environmental details. Instead, we focused on the character: his expressions, sculpted form, every drop of sweat, and each muscle twitch.
Lighting plays a crucial role in setting the emotional tone and spotlighting our fighter within the atmospheric look. Our approach was using a combination of warm and cool lighting techniques.
